Wild honey. This sort of honey isn’t frequently seen and its price is higher. Wild bees produce it and the process of its sip is very hard. Nevertheless, it contains high concentration of useful junctions. This type is quite dense and the smell is acrid.
How to choose the honey correctly
Buying the honey on the bazaar (better do it there, because you can see it open and even try it there) or in the shop, pay attention to its several external characteristics.
Taste. Try to differ soft, honey and sugar taste from taste of sugar syrup. Each sort has its own palatability traits. Practically each of them gives the feeling of soft burning on your tongue.
Smell. Sugar syrup doesn’t have smell unlike the honey.
Color. Syrup is unusually and unnaturally light, almost white. Honey’s color is always smooth and can differ only because of crystallization. Such layers that on the top are more liquid and dark and those, which are at the bottom, are more dense and light. «Sugar» product can give itself away due to the lumpiness of color and dregs at the bottom.
Body. Good way to determine the fake: take the drop of product and put it on your skin. Natural honey becomes ground and is being absorbed. Fake has rolls and make the lumps.
Put the special stick or spoon in the honey. Natural product will be filamentary when spilling, it will flow like molasses, which will gradually straighten. The fake is more liquid, it will just drop.
How to preserve the honey at home?
Recommended temperature is -6…+20 degrees. Don’t change it. If you preserve it in the fridge let the product be there.
It is better to preserve the honey in dry and dark place. The best option is glass tin, ceramic ware or enamel ware, but it should be clean and dry. You can use food grade plastic. Avoid the metallic containers, they provide the oxidation processes.
